Greetings and welcome to Technologist Golf where cutting-edge technology meets time-tested craftsmanship.
Torque modulation changed putting forever—for us, zero torque wasn’t the destination, it was the launchpad.
Introducing the Technologist RP1 Pro
The Technologist Roll Pure One Pro is a putter born of physics and precision engineering, delivering unmatched stability, effortless alignment, and the confidence to sink more putts.

Very low torque or zero torque? The industry is quietly moving to very low torque designs for good reason.
Why? While zero torque designs attempt to passively keep the face square, very low torque (VLT) designs offer a slight degree of controllable torque which imparts stability without over correction. This prevents issues that are common to zero torque putters like the face easily opening or closing due to empty feeling feedback, becoming overly sensitive to misalignment (reduced sweet spot), and a dull hollow feel on impact.
Benefits of a very low torque (VLT) design:
-
Stability throughout the stoke: Unlike zero torque putters which passively attempt to keep the face square, the Technologist RP1 actively resist twisting resulting in excellent feedback for a more consistent and repeatable stroke.
-
Enhanced forgiveness and sweet spot: the amount of face rotation with off center impact is greatly reduced, which allows the ball to better maintain its trajectory, even if the ball isn't perfectly aligned with the putter head.
-
Solid, crisp feel on impact.
Here's the tricky part: true very low torque designs are difficult to engineer and manufacture! It requires the putter head to be hyperbalanced, which requires that MOI and torque modulation work in perfect harmony. Sounds simple, right? But just a touch too much of one, or not quite enough of the other, and building a consistent, repeatable stroke becomes nearly impossible. And that's where the RP1 really shines!
The engineering term is "torque modulation", but we call it the goldilocks zone, and here’s how we got there:
Microns matter!
Converting physics into performance requires precision engineering. At Technologist Golf, we know that when it comes to achieving hyperbalance, microns matter. That principle is the foundation of our design philosophy. We began by identifying the ideal center of mass in relation to target shaft position, and then meticulously engineered every element around it.
Our process:
-
Advanced CAD modeling
-
Digital prototyping
-
3D laser printing
-
4-axis CNC machining
-
Hands-on refinement through direct consultation with golf industry professionals
-
Hyperbalance: the correct ratio of MOI and torque modulation, delivering the feedback needed to build a consistent, repeatable stroke.
-
Advanced, cab-forward shaft insertion with zero shaft tilt for traditional ball positioning and a silky smooth stroke.
-
Shaft compatibility: Well suited for straight and double bend shafts
-
Straight shaft = face-balanced bias (torque-balanced stroke)
-
Double bend = toe-up bias (self-squaring, “square-to-square” style stroke)
-
Precision CNC machining from forged aluminum and stainless steel
-
Available lie angles: 70°, 75°, and 79.5°
-
Compatible with all grips
-
Full mallet design for maximum stability

Fitting Advice
We do not offer nor do we recommend remote fitting.
Photos and videos can’t capture the subtle nuances needed for a proper custom fit. If custom fitting is important to you, we suggest purchasing the putter head and working with a local PGA certified fitting professional in person.
